It's like something out of "42nd Street," only set amid the neon lights of Boystown. It was late and Sidetrack, barely a year old then, was a wasteland on Monday nights. The video bar needed a crowd and Jose "Pepe" Pena, the lead video jockey and co-proprietor, craved an audience. Fate intervened when another Sidetrack VJ and musical theater fan suggested something novel: show tunes. Sure, the musical stylings of Judy, Barbra, Liza, Ethel, Kander and Ebb would seem a logical choice for any gay bar in , but in the early '80s when video bars were new, you'd be hard-pressed to find a comparable show tunes indulgence anywhere in the country. Pena, a Cuba native whose whole knowledge of musical theater was Rodgers and Hammerstein, told his trusty VJ to go for it. But when Monday came along, he got cold feet.

If you try to deconvert her I suggest indirectly at first. I know my husband appreciates me looking into it because he knows I am doing it to gain an understanding into the culture he was raised in. I thought about those deeply spiritual moments I had had in life and how special they were to me. I'm always torn between wanting to spend time together doing loads of fun things and giving him space to pursue his dream. Here is hoping I manage to land myself one of them and preferably a single one!!. All the other stuffв is crap.
